Where does the training take place?
Your training will always take place at our boutique personal training studio in Glasgow city centre. Our address is 18 Eagle Street, Glasgow, G4 9XA.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is free parking onsite.
What types of training do you offer?
We offer the following services:
This includes one to one training which is completely customised to your goals and fitness needs.
This incorporates training with a partner and training sessions are based on joint goal attainment.
These are for groups of 6 and are focussed on a mix of group and personal goals.
Classes run daily from Mon – Saturday offering aerobic and resistance training.
Ideal for clients that can’t commit to the gym multiple times per week but can attend once or twice a month however they need the support of an experienced coach.
Corporate packages for your team – helping re-enegrise and motivate them during working hours.
Our InBody 370 scanner provides the most accurate measurement of body fat and lean mass, the body composition scan allows you to regularly track your composition development.
Providing pain free exercise that helps gain maximum results by understanding your movements in a particular way. Method was created by one of the UKs leading anatomy experts, Gary Ward.
How much is it?
Our packages vary from Small Group Training at £129 per month up to £399 for Personal Training.
How and when do I pay?
You will be required to pay before sessions commence. This can be done via GoCardless, Direct Debit, Bank Transfer or Cash.
Who will train me?
Ricky Singh, our Owner and Head Trainer. Ricky has close to 10 years personal training experience and his expertise lie in fat loss, body transformations and boxing. Ricky is fully qualified with a BSc Hons in Health and Exercise Science. He has also been trained by some of the best coaches in the world.
Will I train by myself or will someone train me?
Whether you choose Personal Training, Small Group Training or Buddy- Up Training, you will always be trained and supported by Ricky Singh. You will be taught all techniques and will be monitored throughout to ensure you are training for optimum results.
When can I start training?
Immediately, depending on availability. Before taking on any new clients we always ask that you a complete a physical assessment to ensure you have no injuries and that we can start your programme at the right pace. As a well established personal training gym in Glasgow, our peak times can be busy but we will always aim to fit you into a suitable time that works for your diary.
What days and times can I book in?
We are open from 7am to 8pm, Monday to Friday. On Saturdays we operate between 8am and 12noon. We understand you will most likely be juggling lots of commitments so our working hours are flexible to suit your needs.
What personal training times are available?
Our times are flexible and this will be discussed during your consultation. We will endeavour to provide you with training times that are suitable for your lifestyle.
What is the free consultation and how do I book it?
A consultation gives us the opportunity to get to know you, learn about your goals and objectives so we can gather the information needed to create a bespoke training plan which we will follow throughout. It helps us know what exercises will work best for you and will help you achieve optimum results.
Our personal training consultation takes around 60 minutes and includes health, dietary and lifestyle analysis. This takes place at our personal training studio in Glasgow.
Do I need a doctors note or similar?
All clients are required to complete a physical readiness questionnaire which will help identify any health restrictions. In some cases, we may require medical clearance from your GP.
I can’t make the same session each week, are you flexible on times?
Yes, we understand that you are busy and need a flexible service so we will discuss this this as we move throughout the programme to ensure you receive an experience that works for you.
What if I need to cancel a session?
A minimum of 12 hours notice is required for all session cancellations. This allows us to reallocate your session to someone else. Notice of less than 12 hours will incur the full session fee. We recommend you call or text Ricky at your earliest convenience.
What if I am running late?
If you are late for your session, unfortunately the session cannot be extended and has to finish at the appointed time. If Ricky is late, additional time will be added to the session or to your next session.
Are you a qualified personal trainer?
Yes, Ricky has a BSc Hons Exercise and Health Science degree. He is also a qualified Poliquin Biosignature Practitioner and Anatomy in Motion Level 4 Coach.
What should I wear?
Gym suitable clothes that you are comfortable in. We would recommend shorts or leggings, a light top and sports bra if you need one. Wear comfortable trainers and sports socks that allow free movement. As much as you may be tempted to splash out on new gym wear, make sure you take the time to find out what you are most comfortable in.
What should I bring to my first session?
A water bottle – your personal trainer will ensure you are given enough breaks to stay hydrated. If you forget, Ricky Singh Personal Training offers refrigerated water for £1 per bottle. You can also bring a small face towel if you wish. Ladies, always bring a hair band if you prefer to train with your hair up – we do have extras if needed. If showering after training, ensure you have your clothes, toiletries and towels.
Are there shower facilities in the gym?
Yes, we have ladies and gents shower rooms equipped with hairdryers etc.
I’ve not done exercise in years, will that matter?
Not at all, we will always analyse your current fitness levels before we begin a training programme. Our philosophy is to provide you with a comfortable and positive training environment that allows to you progress at a pace most suitable for you.
Do I have to be fit?
No, we train clients from all walks of life, some of which have never trained before. We understand it may seem daunting but Ricky’s experience ensures your programmes is tailored to your current fitness levels.
What if I haven’t trained before?
We will always start on a level you are comfortable with and increase this as we see your fitness improve. We monitor your progress on a weekly basis and this will determine how the rest of your programme is formalised.
What if I have aches, pains or injuries?
These will be discussed during your consultation and an appropriate action plan will be created prior to your first training session.
What if I change my mind?
If a package has been purchased, we offer a 7 day grace period. However any costs incurred during this time including InBody scans, training sessions, supplements or equipment will be deducted from the package fee.
Thereafter all sessions purchased a non refundable.
Will you measure my body fat?
Yes, this will be done during your first session.
Do you give me a nutrition plan?
Yes, if you are a Personal Training client, you will be provided with a fully comprehensive nutrition plan.
How much is a nutrition plan?
£59 if purchased on a stand alone basis.
